May 17,

Baby A. She is still doing very good today the nurse said she had only one spell of the Apnea and she came out of it herself!
Troy went up this morning and did a kangaroo with her he said he almost fell asleep rocking her she slept the whole time until the nurse told him he had 5 more minutes then she looked up at him and let out a little whimper and went back to sleep. When I go see her she usually has a leg hanging over the side like you would on a raft the nurses tell me they try and tuck it back in and she flops it right back over the side!!

Born at 1 lb 12 oz - today weights 2 lb 2 oz

Baby B: She has improved they have stopped giving her the meds for the infection and even cut out the meds for her blood pressure. She will have a new Echo of her heart tomorrow so they can look at the valve again to see if it has started to close.
I think she may be strong enough for the medication to close it if they need to give it to her.
Born at 2 lb 4 oz today weights 2 lb 6 oz

Baby C I just got home from doing a kangaroo with her and she just slept it is a very peaceful time she pooped 2 x while I was there I think she is liking the breast milk and she better it is killing me pumping like I need to !!!
She is doing well they will probably increase her feedings she only gets like a drop of milk a day ! (2 cc) not even 1/4 of a tsp. !
Born at 1 lb 15 oz today weights 1 lb 14 oz

I 'll let you know what happens tomorrow. If you have any questions you can leave them on this in the comets and I will find out for you.

May 16,

Today seems to be a little better we are going to see the babies tonight however I talked to the Doctor this morning for the health update

Baby A Is still doing well and not having as much apneia spells this is very common in premies what happens is they forget to breath the nurse will chart it if they have to get in and stimulate them to remind them. What they want to see is the baby correcting this themselves and she is getting better. They are increasing their feedings of milk and still on room air.

Baby B She still has an infection they do not know exactly where this is rooting from all they know is her white blood cells are up which is the sign of infection. They are still not making any decisions on the heart problem they just want to watch her and look at her labs in the morning. Her blood pressure is still unstable and is getting dopamean for it.

Baby C She had an Echo. Of heart which came back good her valve is closed :) (I really needed that) . She has also been having a very good diapers so they are going to start feeding her a very small amount of breast milk and see how her stomach will hold up. She is still on 20% oxygen.

An Update

Hi everyone, I am still alive I really didn't think coming home without the babies would have such an effect on me. I am doing okay I am getting as much rest as I can her kid(pumping every 3 hours make sleeping hard.) I went to see the babies tonight

Baby A is doing well and is the only one that is being fed breast milk she is still on room air which means she needs no oxygen to assist her in breathing. I did a Kangaroo with her which means I get in a hospital gown and hold her skin on skin for an hour. This is the highlight of my day and they say this is really good for the babies to hear my heart beat and feel my skin. We can Kangaroo one baby a week right now because they are not stable enough to do it more. I have been able to do all of them Troy says I need it more than he does.

Baby B is having a hard time she got an infection today which they are treating with medication she has a condition called PHC which is a valve on her heart that does not close and prevents the blood from circulating through her body she will need to have a surgery to close it. Her kidneys are not working good for her to handle the medication that could correct this. She has high blood pressure and her thyroid is not working right they will treat all of this with medication. She did not look very good tonight you could tell she is sick and doesn't feel good.

Baby C is doing good she had an Echo of her heart I will know the results tomorrow she is getting oxygen and is not getting breast Milk her stomach can't handle it right now. I just watch her sleep she looked very peaceful.

The Boys are in heaven with Tenesha here she has been a big help. Austin is doing good he has a baseball game on Friday.
Lincoln needs to have his tonsils taken out so we are planning this for June 15,
The construction is moving along thanks to Troy and Ambra.

I will keep you all posted. I still prefer to be alone and I really appreciate you all respecting this I know there will be a day when I will love nothing more than to talk and hang out with all of you.
I am so grateful for all of the support you all have given me and my family we feel so loved. Please pray for the babies.

Love, Summer
