A Nice Day.

Today was good. They did an Echo on Luci and it showed the PDA closed! I am learning that i can't get to excited about the wins in the NICU because they can quickly change. For now the news is good she still looks really swollen and I can tell she doesn't feel well. The other girls are doing well I was able to do a "Non- nutritive breast feed" How this works is I will pump and then try and breast feed them. This wasn't as eventful as I had planned. I guess I just thought they would be really into this and they were not. Which is okay this is why they want you to start to introduce it now we have plenty of time. I can't wait until I can nurse them. My body must know we had triplets I have enough milk to feed a small country! We have over 100 bottles in the freezer!!!!!!!!!!!
Lincoln & London have been sneaking into each others beds at night. When I ask them about this in the morning they will say " Oh ya, London was really scared and he needed me to lay by him". They are best friends I couldn't imagine one without the other. Posted by Picasa

This has been a rough week Luci was having a hard time breathing which led them to do another echo of her heart. They found that her PDA is not closed so they started a medication that may close it. Yesterday they did another echo of her heart to see if the medication worked and it did not. They want to try the medication one more time there is only a 10% chance that it will work. They will check her heart again tomorrow morning to see if it worked. The last resort will be surgery which would happen next Tuesday or Wednesday. I think the medication will work.

Baby A: Is doing well she is having a little trouble eating which is Normal for preemies.

On Wednesday I got to Kangaroo Luci and Lilli together it was amazing they were facing each other and Lilli reach out and held on to Luci’s arm she held on for about an hour! It seemed as though she knew Luci was having a hard time.

This situation has made me realize how much I take for granted in my life. Until this my family has been so healthy, I could have never imagined I would not be able to hold and love one of my babies when ever I want. I also never though I could get so much joy out of just the smallest touch with them. Last night I had London sleep with me and I found myself just watching him sleep and breath. Life is so amazing his little body only four years old never forgets to breath and his heart knows to keep pumping.
I don’t feel old enough to have this kind of pain in my life. It feels like there is always something missing. Having kids is so bitter sweet. I can only imagine how my parents felt having eight of us to lay awake thinking about.
I will post current pictures tomorrow.

I am still not up for visitors and phone calls.
I would like to say Thank you to everyone for all of the flowers, phone calls, favors, fasting, prayers, dinners and cookies.

We have been very blessed to be surrounded by so many Angels.

I LOVE YOU ALL!!

Today was good
Baby A had a good day I did a *Kangaroo with her as you can see in the pictures she has a ton of hair! If she would have been full term she would have come out with pig tails!!!
She got her pic line out now both of her little hands are free of cords. She lost 1 oz. I think it was her pic line. She was so alert today it makes it hard to put her blankets down over isolette.

Lucy is doing well they have increased her feedings she looked good. They put her back on oxygen she was having a hard time during the night.

Lilly had a blood transfusion today she is not producing enough red blood cells this is her second one. She seems to be accepting the blood good. I think this will be just what she needs to catch up with her sisters. She is so tiny she is a miracle.

Lincoln had his Kindergarten check up today he got 4 shots ! It was horrible. London was smiling after he got the shots....I guess that's brothers ! What he doesn't realize is that his appointment is next week and he need 5 shots!!!

Austin and I will be making a skate movie tomorrow he is very excited. I just want to spend time with him and if this is the only way he will hang out with me so be it! of course he will be bringing 5 friends because that's how they come when they hit 10 years old in packs of 5 !!

Today was a good day for all the girls.

Baby A Had a good day she is so alert she looks like I could just take her home right now!. She will be getting her *pic line out today one less cord attached to her little body is a good thing. They have increased her feedings again and she seems to be doing okay. Feeding the girls is the next hurdle we will face they will let me try to breast feed in about 2-3 weeks!

Baby B Has made huge progress she is on room air. The only tube on her face is the feeding tube in her nose. I did a Kangaroo with her today for over an hour she is so sweet I think I am going to name her "Lucy".

Baby C She is doing well they have increased her feedings also and said they may remove her pic line tomorrow. I think I am going to name her "Lilly".

*Pic Line- is a small IV that they put in their hand and the tube goes all the way up the shoulder and down into her chest this is good for direct medication and fluids

Lincoln got very sick last night so he has been laying around.
London has been hanging out with Dad today he told the neighbor " My mom is sad cause her miss her babies"
